I have spyware and it hid or deleted my search and destroy bot and my other spyware program I had. It didn't do that to Adaware but it Adaware doesn't detect it. It doesn't let me go onto this site or open anything to try to help me remove it. It set my homepage to http://wkncyl.outhost.info and constantly pops up with http://www.casinopalazzo.com/index.php?etc... and added "on-line show" icon to my desktop. I can't run any of my good spyware programs to remove it because it wont let me open the folders they're in. Someone PLEASE help. Adaware doesn't do anything for me.

Hi Spywarevictim,
Welcome, if you have not registered, please do it now. We need a snapshot of your running processes..........but First:
Virus=Read This: http://www.computercops.biz/postt8864.html
HiJack= Read This: http://www.computercops.biz/postt911.html

Download : HiJack This!

Create and Unzip to a folder not your Desktop or the Temp folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
Unzip the download (using a piece of software like: Winzip)

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log in a text file, and post it in the CCSP "Spyware - Hijack Related" forum:

http://computercops.biz/forum67.html

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

Is it safe for me to create a user account/log into it on this computer thats infected w/spyware? And downloading hijackthis didn't work because of the spyware i have so i downloaded it on another computer and brought it on thsi one and it didn't work, so i renamed it, so i think this spyware must have something against the filename of the software. I also installed and ran Spybot S&D, except once i close it, whatever spyware i have automatically deletes it or hides it or something so i ahfta reinstall it when i run it again.

1) If you are using XP or ME you have to disable system restore prior to trying to repair problems or your repairs will be undone.

2) If hijackthis wont run in regular mode, try in safe mode and see if you can get a log to post. Each computer has a different set of problems so, as Clair said, the experts really need to see the specific situation on your computer in order to help you.

3) Same thing on your other spyware programs such as adaware and spybot-no guarantees-but if they wont run in regular mode, try rebooting the computer in safe mode and running them. Sometimes this helps.

Regards.
