if i want to filter out all emails say coming from the .za domain, shouldn't the regexpr be :

$\.za

yet this isn't working for me. anyone with a clue y?

'$' signifies 'end of line'. I suspect the expression you're looking for is '.*?\.za'

oops silly me, i guess i meant '\.za$' but i guess i forgot to put the wildcards in front. your solution DID the trick. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
