I've downloaded the program from McAfee's site and after installing and then trying to uninstall, I now have McAfee on my hard drive but it's telling me that I don't have virus scan installed. When I go to install the program, I get a message that I already have a newer version of it and I should uninstall and try a re-install. Problem here is that I can't un-install it because I get an error message stating some components are missing - "mcafee.com\agent\uninst\vsoremui.dll".
When booting up I also have an error that says a file is missing - "program~1\common~1\network~1\viruss~1\40~1\.xx\scanpm.exe".
After getting past that error I get another missing file statement - "windows\system\vshinit.vxd".
The reason for the uninstall was due to other computer problems and a glitch with the McAfee program.

Any suggestions?
