This is a quote from a primer on Information theory; written for molecular biologists. By Thomas D. Schneider; written 1,06,2003. Concerning the theory of information “selection vs” uncertainty.

“....Errors occur because people implicitly assume that there is no noise in the communication. When there is noise, R=H before’ as with the completely cleared computer memory; that is, if there is no noise, the amount of information communicated is equal to the uncertainty before communication. When there is noise; and someone assumes that there is not any, this leads to all kinds of confusing philosophies. One must always account for noise.”

I could not begin to understand the whole book; molecular biology does not interests me very much; still a paralel might be drawn between this quote and some universal metaphore; which pertains to a human propensity for taking short cuts to understanding; refusing to do the hard work; a willingness to ignor or deny the truth alltogether.
I thought I had learned to filter things out when I was younger; but all the crap you hear today is getting rediculous. News reporters, politicians, protesters, and lobyists all begin to sound alike -like one long pathetic commercial.

Just once I'd like to hear the scum who intentionally target and murder innocent people called what they are -sociopaths; because that is what they really are. The cause they champion is only a pretext to carry out their programing. If you gave them everything they asked for -it wouldn't stop them; because they are not programmed to stop.
The truth of things is often plainly recognizable except to people are programmed to ignore the truth.
