I reformatted my HD, reinstalled WinXP and then installed iTunes, but now it defaulted iTunes to play all .WAVS.

Thats not good, because everytime my "new mail notification" .wav plays, it opens iTunes.

What is the normal windows default to play .wavs in WinXP?

open windows explorer
->select Tools
->Folder options
->then File types
then assosiate the extension with the program you prefer for using MP3's as they are simular in playback
