Newbie on this forum, but have been using mailwasher pro since 3.0. Just downloaded 4.1 on new PC and getting POP3 error -- No Such Host,
Has there been a change in protocol since 4.0? Checked all of the obvious goofs -- can't figure this one out.

Thanks

You are sure you use the correct pop-server name.

Normally it's like:

pop.yourisp.com or pop3.yourisp.net

but my isp need something else

in.myisp.be

If your mail program still works, look at that account, to be sure.
(but you knew all this, didn't you Razz )

It's not clear from what you write, but I'm going to assume that you had a new PC with 3.0 running then upgraded to 4.1

The typical cause of the problem on upgrades of MW (or any other program) is that your firewall needs to be 'retrained' to recognize the new version of MW. Even though the name is the same, the firewall will not recognize the new version as the same one (different size, checksum, etc.)

Close MW.
Remove all rules in your firewall for mailwasher
Retrain your filrewall for the new version of mailwasher

Actually I have been using 4.0 prior to this change. Yes, the problem appears to be sort sort of conflict between the e-mail client and MW. I have cobbled toogether a fix -- and when I more time I will try and get it fixed properly.

On the plus sige, the new learning function is quite amazing. Good upgrades all in all.

Thanks for the help.
