Hi

I have just downloaded a program together with Java. The download and installations worked fine however, whenever I attempt to open the program I receive a message "***** has encountered a problem and needs to close", together with an invitation to send the error details to
Microsoft. Having done so and following the information line, Microsoft identifies Symantec as the problem. Symantec Internet Security was on my machine but was uninstalled. I have looked through hidden files etc. etc. but can find no indication of a Symantec file.

I'm a little desperate so, any help would be gratefully received!
