|
|
Hi,
I have spam that is blacklisted by Spamcop etc. set-up as 'hide the email'.
However, I'm finding that some spam that is filtered is also being hidden. I've checked and the filter is definitely set to 'display the email'. It's never the same filter anyway, seems random.
Is MW working correctly and the email in question meets the filter criteria AND is blacklisted by RBL.....but the filter is taking preference? |

Yes, that is the way it's designed.
The tools are given priority over one another in the order they appear in the left in the 'spam tools' window:
Friends (trumps all)
First Alert
Your blacklist
Filters
Learning (Bayesian filtering)
RBLs (Origing of Spam)
So, if an email matches a filter and is a match for an RBL, the filter actions prevail.
Individual filters can be set to over-ride friends list.
