I have a post in the hijack forum. I'm trying to read other topics and fix stuff myself because I know y'all r busy. When I tried to open Notepad from the start>programs>Acces. menu it says not a user program. I'm just trying to do as much as possible until I receive an answer on what to do about the hijack log.
Please help me with this other problem, maybe I changed some type of permissions or something for notepad or while I've been uninstalling and deleting stuff I somehow got rid of notepad.
Does Computer Cops have a form to print out and send donations? Don't trust my puter right now to do over the web.

This is what it says for the path when I create a short cut for notepad and then click on properities.
I can open notepad in command prompt window.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

the guy that write hijack this has a fix for this. was listed in the first few in that link i gave.
as some spyware program mucks with it.

Ok, thanks. I have checked out a couple, I just didn't find any of the other symtoms for a virus or the rapidblaster. There may have been something in the past that I have cleaned up. Norton detected a trojan download one day and deleted it. I remember deleting something in Notepad.
I will keep checking til I get it.

well there was a spyware program that screwed notepad.exe. if you d/l a new copy it might fix the problem.
if your running xp you could try going type sfc /scannow
and repair all your system and windows files
in 98 i beleave its sfc
