I have no idea what this folder is... and a thousand apologies if this is not the correct place to post.
Inside this folder is one called "download", but I get an access denied error upon trying to either open or delete "dowload" or when I try to delete "7990ecc5e52b77460764".
I've tried booting into safe-mode with no luck, as well as trying to delete it from command.com
It is on a separate partition (F:\) of an 80gb SATA HDD in the root directory. My WindowsXP install is in the C:\ directory.
I would appreciate any feedback you could give me.

Thanks, suppose I should have looked around a bit more first. =Þ
anyway, that didn't seem to resolve the issue, so if anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of it...? |

yes, I like to run a 'tight ship' as far as my computer is concerned...although it's not too big a deal, they could have had the decency to hide it in a temp folder where I wouldn't have noticed it rather than in my F:\ root.
Maybe it is a failed service patch. I've had enough of those... |
