I happen to be on the side of "Truth in Advertising"
If the product says it deletes and bounces, then it should do it.
If you choose not to, that's your option.

Good point. In this case however the best solution is to change the advertized capability.

Sounds good in theory. Trouble is that a forged email address is difficult to determine. SpamCop has a whole whack of S/W dedicated to tracing the source of SPAM via the headers and still gets it wrong a lot of the time.
BTW, the latest news is that 80% of SPAM is now generated by zombie PCs. If that's the case, who knows what the return address will be. Not likely the email address of the poor sap whose PC was trojaned -- that would alert the victim to a possible problem -- but who knows how a SPAMers mind works.
