Hi!

I've downloaded Benign - 30 day trial.
I could NOT find any information, that benign would but a
commercial footer on any Email I send!!!
I hate that - and I would not have installed the programm!

I DO NOT want any single line on a Email I send to my custumers!!!
Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

...............................
If! I would buy benign -
Is the price for a specific time of for live time - including updates???

Why don't you intergrate this features into Mailwasher Pro???
Lets say a MailWasher Pro Spezial adition...

.......................................

Best Regards
Martin

I'm amazed that anybody (not you) bothers to put a commercial in your email.

For starters, it's just plain dumb, sort of like the Tax Man saying "Trust me, I'm here to help you"

As if someone with malicious intent couldn't append exactly the same message.

If "doltage" were measurable, it would be off the scale for dumb.

For mine it's a deadset guarantee that I'd NEVER use the product! JMHO

This may have been posted to the wrong forum...

Anyway I hate getting junk tacked on to my outgoing mail and wouldn't buy a product or service that did that.

Version 4.41 allows you to turn this off under options. Not sure about the earlier version.

Not everyone wants the same thing. I like this feature. If the people I email ask me what it is, I explain and if they use the product that is one more protected computer user.

The ability to remove the footer has been a standard feature of all releases of Benign.

As far as integration of B9 and MW, MW is strictly a preview program of what mail resides on the mail server, B9 rewrites the e-mail as you download it to your e-mail program.
In the future though I certainly would't rule this out, just not at present..

The B9 purchase is a one off lifetime fee, any future updates will be free to paid users of the program

Arrow Someone, please help me out ... I don't understand this thread.

Arrow I've been using Benign for months. Under Tools >> Options >> General, I have checked Add Footer To Each Message. This gives me a "This message has been processed by Firetrust Benign" footer on incoming messages ... a nice comfort level that Benign is doing its thing.

Arrow Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how Benign is associated with outgoing mail. It seems to be simply processing incoming messages. I've sent some messages to a Web mail account (not processed by Benign) and I don't see any kind of outbound footer message.

Arrow Is this discussion about a footer on outgoing mail? If so, is it e-mail program specific ... like Outlook or Outlook Express? (I use Pegasus Mail and avoid the MS Outlook programs.)

Crying or Very sad Or then again, I might just be clueless. Comments welcome.

If you Reply to someone and include their message in the reply, the message footer will then be included also.

Arrow Got it. I routinely delete the incoming Benign footer when I reply to or forward a message. It seems a logical thing to do ... never gave it much thought.

In any event, the incoming Benign footer can be easily disabled. Wink
