From the reviews I've read it appears to be a close race between ZA Pro and Sygate 5 Pro. Does anyone have an informed, technical reason not to use Sygate 5 Pro instead of ZA Pro? I personally don't care for ZAP as there are too many credible, negative reports of compatibility issues with ZAP. That and it's TrueVector never seems to completely die after uninstall -- interfering with other (software) firewalls.

Any thoughts... Smile

There was a vulnerability reported involving remote access via the localhost address. This may have been fixed in the current build. Here's the rule to fix this hole.

Rule Summary:
This rule will block both incoming and outgoing traffic from/to IP address(es) 127.0.0.1-127.0.0.255 on all ports and protocols. This rule will be applied to all network interface cards.

There is a new signature file for Sygate Personal Firewall Pro 5.1.1615.

The new Signature File (5.5.3000) includes:
Signature Library 1.0.1040, Trojan Signature Library.
