i think these are great filters, but when i go to
http://www.all-nettools.com/pr.htm it detects
that i'm using a proxy server and also my real
ip (remote address and remote host). is there any
way round these detections?

could it be to do with java/cookies? i'm not keen
on disabling java and cookies to the extreme, as
so many of the sites i visit generally seem to demand
them (although it's nice to cut out the unnessasary
and worst kinds), but i did try by completely disabling
java and cookies via prox (not via ie options), but still
to no avail.

maybe i'm missing a filter or two. is anyone
else getting the same problem

i use ie6 sp1 and win98

thanks

For me it says:
Quote:
Proxy server detected
You came from 199.105.112.201 (owned.internet-pipeline.net)
Client IP 210.164.234.210
You came via HTTP1.1/depraved-midget.onlinescanner.com
Which is all wrong and exactly what Jax's filters told it.
And it will change when I reload the test.

The address and host are correct because I am not using an anonymous proxy to hide my ID. Even if I was, there are still ways to find me.

That's how it works.

Your IP appears to be the Remote Proxy Server. And a rotating list of IPs pretends to be the Client IP.
