Hello,

I like your product.
Can I pay you by Paypal?
I don't use my credit card online.

Thanks

The payment options for TrojanHunter are available at http://www.misec.net/purchase/ At this time you unfortunately can't pay using PayPal.

Actually Magnus, I believe PP will allow you to pay anybody with a valid email.........addy. I also believe Western Union does this as well. In fact, WU will even send it in the form of a money order using snail mail. Just my plug nickle......

That might be true, but how much of the money is left after PayPal takes their share and all wire transfer/check cashing fees have been paid?

I think Magnus, I recall paying the additional fees myself to do that. It was along while back and I was buying something at an auction he he only took cash or a money order........... The merchant got all the money he had asked for. If I get a chance........which may take a while to research again.......I will go to PP and the rest for an exact answer. I really am not sure about the multiple country aspects of this, however. That may, in fact, pose a problem.

Well there are plenty of other ordering options available so I don't see it as a big problem.

You could always go to the Bank and buy one of those Visa Gift Cards for 50$ and then buy TrojanHunter. Then use the rest of it when you go out to celebrate the purchase. Wink

paypal takes out around $1.50.

you will increase your sales and the buyer doesn't
have to fill out credit info to other parties -
quick pay, no hassle.

anyway, nice product and response.

Not to say you Dosman, but there have been a bit of a problem with Paypal after all those people sending emails to direct people to Paypal like websites. The credit information, though not secure is a way to keep crackers from buying the program and an access point to the liveupdate function. This is an explaination and not any kind of accusation against people who use Paypal (as I do use it too).

Is this then a Mischel Internet Security policy?

No, it is not policy but realistically it is my personal thoughts of what is at some level a consideration of any programmer. I am speaking only for myself not for anyone on the board here or for Magnus. I am a volunteer here that works for no money at the board and I do not work for Magnus. I am just giving you my honest opinion, about those things out there in the market.

Cracking is a touchy subject because of the money it deprives those that sell products, it is hard to determine where it happens and how many products are passed along that would of or would not result in sales. I hesitated to bring it up and probably should not of, in hindsight. But this board is dedicated to open discussions of issues that affect the security of us all. One of those issues is the problem of cracking.

Remember, only the Credit Card Processor ever sees credit information in a SSL online exchange server. Your information is not available other than that record with the Processor's server. However, people who crack are not likely to even want that exchange of information.

Ive been using paypal for ages I feel better using it online than any other method

its owned by ebay which is the biggest commercial site on the internet
Ive sold lots of stuff online and most buyers prefer using it to any other method

you can transfer different currencys in your account so you can pay people in dollars or pounds or whatever its really fast and easy to use

I dont like using credit cards online most other payment options take to long so generally if people dont accept paypal I go else where

and I really dont mind paying extra to use it

just my opinion I think you will lose money not having it as a payment option

best wishes jon really nice site by the way
