Oops, sorry Blast. Seems I can't help getting people's backs up round here. Shouldn't make light of a serious subject.
At the end of the day, if I enjoy it, I drink it. Doesn't matter where it's from or what it's in (a really nice wine would taste good from a tooth mug).
And may I add your name to my toast, mon ami?

Hey lilliebet,
Surely you hadn't mistaken my "tongue in cheek" attitude for something serious. The great thing about cork is it is easy to tell how many bottles you have drunk.
Screw caps don't really look as good scattered around the floor and they hurt when you stand on them with bare feet

It has been known that all great wines (where ever their heritage) can be followed by a great screw. Now I am suggesting that we start off with a screw as well. |
Blast,
Touché, mon cher ami !
What a wonderful "twister" you are!

Corporal Blast, sah! Surely the great thing about Cork is the lush green countryside, the warm welcome and the cold Guinness.
But G-spot and Claire, again with the French. You know this is a code I'll never crack.

(I'm sorry but I can't speak french or anything apart from English. I am learning Maori, but that is a slow process indeed. Maybe if everyone put the translation down in their post as well, I could learn quicker)

Hmmm, see what I mean.
Even my own translation of English is suspect.
Maybe we need another glass or two of a NZ wine (a nice drop indeed)

I am at this moment partaking of a cheeky little South African white, well beyond remembering the name but I'm lifting a glass to my Canadian chums as you read this. Cheers! |
Marisa, I agree. I am a global wino and South African wines are amongst my faves.

Here here, A good drop from the Yarpies is always appreciated. Pity they can't play rugby though (even though they are statistically closest to NZ as the most consistantly best side in the world,) but thats another forum
Great wines (what are their beers like???)

Well... as you know by now I am South African... but I don't drink beer so I consulted my friend and he said that it is good. We drink Castle Lager. The biggest in SA. I love wine and our KWV Brandy in Sout Africa. Just a pitty it is so expensive here in the UK.
It is nice to hear how everyone like's different things. Have you got any good wines to reccomend??
