By the way,

I read an interesting article about cork and the effect screw tops are having on the survival of the lynx which lives and basically survives by the very existance of the cork tree. The cork trees are up to 400 years old and the cork is harvested every nine years or so as it takes that long for the cork to regenerate.

Now as the use of screw caps expands (and plastic corks as well) so does the requirement of real cork decline which also jepodises the survival of the lynx who depend on the habitat the trees provide.

So I have changed my mind.... long live the cork!!!!
