I would get rid of spysweep and follow these instructions:
First off, Please run Spybot Search & Destroy which can be found at http://security.kolla.de.
Fix all items it finds that are in red. Make sure it is updated or it won't catch everything.
Spybot S&D > Immunize > Recommended miscellaneous protections.

Download and install Ad-aware
After installing you need to download all updates for it. Use the Globe Icon in the program, and "Connect" to download latest Reference-file.
then run it...

Last..
Please dowload this tool:
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, load it in Notepad, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Proxomitron also gets rid of pop-ups plus it does sooooo much more. Info is available here at this site.

I use Opera 7.23 and Proxomitron. Love 'em!

Very Happy

the more simply thing i can suggest is the google pop up bar. very simple to use and, for me it works:since 2 months, the bar blocked me 1430 pop ups...really good. if u want to have it, just go to www.google.com and check for the google bar bottom of the page. i wish it can help:-)
