I dont know where to post this or even if anyone will be able to help me but I figure that you guys are the people to ask because of your knowledge of computers. Here is the deal. I have a bit of an addiction to an internet forum and waste a whole lot of time there. The problem with this is that I am supposed to be studying for my MCATs right now and end uo goofing off at this forum (not this forum but A forum) way too much. I am in the crunch and cannot afford to waste anymore time. What I am wondering is if there is anyway I can block myself from given webpage? Is there a program or something I can download that I can use to block this page from my browser? ANYTHING?? I really need to kick this addiction and need to do it now.... |

Hmmm ... I need something like that for these forums!
I'm fairly certain Proxomitron could do that for you. Lots of downloads to chose from.

In its simplest sense, edit your hosts file and enter the domain to resolve to your local host:
127.0.0.1 the.domain.name.here

XP home edition, btw what exactly does that do and how easy would it be for me to just go and change it again? I would prefer it be a pain in the ass to fix

Go into your winnt system 32 folder. Under network admin I believe it is find hosts. Edit it there.
