|
|
=======================================================
I get the problem below problem using Norton Internet Security 2004 with Antispam feature turned on.
Starts when I click "this is spam". After four "yes" clicks, the antispam filter runs, and
then all the Antispam buttons go dead, and Outlook will not close.
I need to go to the Windows Task Manager to close Outlook. Reinstalling Norton
does not help.
Office sends up the same alert for Word as the email editor, also.

Excerpt from article dated 3/12/04
Security Fixes
Office XP SP3 was released on Tuesday and contains security enhancements
for the Office suite in addition to stability and performance improvements,
according to Microsoft's Web site.
After installing SP3, each e-mail received triggers a dialog
alerting the user that a program is trying to access e-mail
addresses stored in Outlook and warning that this could
be related to a computer virus. There is no indication of
what program is accessing Outlook, according to the NTBugtraq posting.

This is the first I've heard of the issue. Here is a similar thread just started at DSLReports: NIS 2004 - Antispam |
