|
|
Of late I've been recieving numerous emails with attachments on them, to a web based email account. I've no way of scanning the email/attchments to see if they contain viruses or not.
I was wondering if there is a website etc that you can send these *suspect* emails to and check them or have them checked.
I don't use address books in either my web based email accounts or home based accounts.
thnxz for your time

Have you given your email address to anyone else? They probably have address books which they are using. If they get a virus they could unwittingly be sending stuff to you.
If you gave your email addy to a commercial company, be ready for lots of spam!
Does your webmail have Filters or a way to Block unwanted email? If so, then use them.
It's very good that you do not use address books. Neither do I.
To do your own filtering you might try MailWasher. MailWasher 2.0 is freeware. MailWasher Tutorial at CCSP
