hi all
i'm new to the boards.
i keep getting a ''windows has recovered from a serious error' startup message - send report/don't send it' message each time i turn my pc on.
my tcmonitor [part of the cleaner] point out a registry error: he expects under 'hklm\sofware\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run a value that's missing. this value is 'kernelfaultcheck=%systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0-k.
i opened up the registry and noted the kernelfaultcheck was missing, so i manually added it. it seemed like the problem was solved but then the error message started to appear again, so i opened up the registry and noted that the kernelfaultcheck entry i manually added was GONE!
do you have any idea on how to solve this? [i didn't do anything in particular apart from trying a printing software, but i don't reckon it's itsfault]
thank you guys |

Hello mutande,
You might try restoring your registry to a state that it was in prior to your having registry problems. If you need help with this, tell us what version of Windows you are using. |

Hello mutande,
Since you have WindowsXP, try using System Restore. See:
http://www.computerhope.com/registry.htm#10
and scroll down the page for the XP narrative. |
