I think I know what is causing this error. Did you install ZoneAlarm or any program since then, from a network or removable drive? If so then probably ZA is looking for the original files to validate them, and they are no longer there. Try removing that program from the Program List in ZA.
If you can't find or remember the program, the reset your database. You will lose all your customizations in ZoneAlarm.
1. Go into the Overview Preferences tab and turn off "Load ZoneAlarm at startup".
2. Reboot into safe mode. {Instructions if needed}
3. Go into the folder named internet logs {do a search if you don't know where it is in your OS}.
4. Delete everything in that folder.
5. Empty the recycle bin.
6. Reboot into normal windows.
7. Restart ZA manually.
8. Recheck the "Load ZoneAlarm at startup". |

As BillC was saying....it's probably a program that at one time or another asked for Internet access. Hopefully it's as simple as clicking on each program executables listed in ZA's Control Center and as you do also note down at the bottom in the Entry Detail area....in particular the File Name line. |
