Can someone please tell me if there is way to update my Norton AV 2001 to make it compatible with my update of Windows XP without having to pay?! I know nothing in this world is free but I wanted to make sure before I went out and bought the newer version. Thanks in advance! Smile

Get a new AV scanner! There are no free Norton's that I know. Wink

You could try Antivir Free Personal Edition. It's first rate, developed for networks with a free edition for single users. Virus definitions are updated daily. Program is updated once a week. I have been using it for two years and consider it to be better than Norton (I am a past user).

I have also used AVG Free by Grisoft. It has regular updates too.

(Begging the indulgence and forgiveness of the NAV Mods here.) Embarassed

Best regards and Welcome to Computer Cops! Very Happy
