i was reading about a very nasty time that someone was having with what i guess was "cool web search", where it was preventing the installation and running of "spywareblaster".. how do we try to prevent becoming infected with this type of stuff? thanks |

do not download software that sounds like spyware..e.g some websites contain ads for things like free screen savers, etc, mostly this stuff contains spyware.Use Kazza lite if u have to use kazza. And,if,when viewing a website,a box comes up that asks for the installation of any software to your computer click no unless u need to have that software to view that web page(some times u need to have some special software to VIEW a page, and sometimes the web site asks u to accept the installation of the software unless they won't let u view the page. Here accept the software in Case 1,but don't accept it in Case 2).And run a program like Spyware Search and Destroy and select the auto block feature that automatically blocks the download of spyware.hope that helps
