|

I run Win2k: I have Mailwasher Pro 3.4 and Benign 1.4.1.4 installed, also Zone Alarm Pro and Mozilla 1.5.
On a cold boot, for a day or two I can check my email via Mailwasher and Mozilla with no problem.
After a day or two and about 100 emails passing thru:
Mailwasher still works fine but Mozilla hangs at the point where it shows the message "connected to pop.xxx.com".
If I log off, and back on (or do a cold boot) Mozilla reads mail fine…
When Mozilla hangs and I disable Benign (and I edit out the .B9 in the pop mail server) Mozilla works fine again…
Mailwasher will continue to check for emails all day long without difficulty in any case.
Ideas? Peter
(edit = throw away email address removed)

B9 is now at v1.4.1.4? Seriously? I thought I was at the latest (v1.4.0.1). Based on your message perhaps I should be pleased that I didn't upgrade rather than being POed about not being informed by FireTrust that a later version is now available.....
BTW, petere, best not to post your email address in the clear if you value less SPAM in your inbox.

correction: Mozilla gets to a "recieving message 1 of X" and then no activity... there is no in or out traffic.
update: It hung again just now, looks like about 1 day and about 75 messages (mostly SPAM)

Thanks for the beta, but it was no help, it hangs too.
Perhaps I should go back to a release from about 3 months back, this is a rather new problem
thanks again,
Peter |

Hi Peter
I have had no problems with Mozilla Mail 1.4 myself or had any other users report problems (comments from other forum folk welcome).
What is the error message that Benign and/or Mozilla Mail 1.5 gives you?
Thanks
Hamish
