Hijack Logs Everywhere

Hijackthis logs seem to be everywhere. The Hijack Related/Prevention forums are essentially impossible to use since they both fill up with these logs.

Maybe there needs to be a couple of Hijack forums such as:

Help, I think I'm Hijacked

Post Hijackthis logs here

A couple of thumbs up to all those helping these hijacked users! I don't know how you can keep up. Do you have any automated tasks that assist you with scanning the logs?

people don't read the messages as to posting logs.....it's bloody.....we don't keep up.......and we are not automated.......

No automation, ouch... that's brutal. Reading those logs, it quickly becomes mind numbing, at least for me.

Perhaps, at least part of the process could be automated. I'm just guessing, but I would think that there must be key phrases or text strings that you look for. That could be the basis for some automation. While no doubt that a good pair of eyes would be better, it still might help speed things up a bit and make life a little easier.

Just a thought.

I too have noticed hijack logs in a lot of places. Also people are uploading their logs to the site rather than copying and pasting them.

Maybe the instructions in the hijack related forum should be revised to read very clearly something like
1.) "post hijack logs to this forum only"
it might even be an idea to add a note about that to the home page so people know where to start looking
2.) "copy and paste your hijack logs, do not upload them"

Copy and paste? Pasting the gory details of the log obscures the topic. Isn't this one reason the file upload capability was added?

"WE prefer you open your logs and copy and paste them into your reply. When they are attached it makes it harder for us.

I just wish folks would paste them to the proper place then .... whereever that might be. Probably needs some flashing graphics and arrows pointing to the right spot:

brother........I couldn't agree with you more.......but short of calling up some friends of mine in D.C. w/access to cruise missles.......we don't have a prayer......what I need are migrant workers to pick the fruits and nuts, then transport them to market.
