I still can't log in here - maybe I'll just stay on as a "forever" guest!

CrystalSky is not alone in having problems logging in to this site.
I have successfully registered, received a password and logged in.
So far so good, but on returning to the site a few days later have been unable to log in although my password was accepted previously. I reduced the "privacy" settings on Internet Explorer to allow cookies, but still no joy so in the end I had to act as if I had lost my password and send for a new one. Yes that worked for a day or two, and then low and behold the same palava again today
I had to sent for yet another password in order to log in.
What am I doing wrong?
............ or is there a bug on this site? |

Unfortunately there are many folks here including myself who cannot replicate this issue. I've had users send me their emails so that I can try logging in using their passwords, and I can get in while they cannot.
Passwords are case sensitive. And as we know 'HELLO' is not the same as 'hello'. But, you know, here is something too...
Logging in on 'www.computercops.biz' is not the same as 'computercops.biz'.
If this occurs next time, feel free to email me the newest password with your login and I can try it out. But out of all the entries I've ever received, only one had an issue.

This time I managed to log back in OK with my Internet Explorer privacy settings re cookies set to medium high, though I generally like to keep this set to high to stop my system being clogged by a multitude of unnecessary tracking cookies that I then have to plough through and manually delete. |

Rest assured that CCSP doesn't use any external cookies. CCSP does not use any advertising external cookies or whatever. If you are seeing cookies being dropped on your PC due to CCSP, that may only be due to external IMG links in user posts. That of course is common anywhere one goes. In IE privacy settings, I told it to accept computercops.biz, and have never had an issue.
In terms of CrystalSky, it appears that NIS was presenting some issues. Hopefully we can work these things out together.

Hi Paul, Thankfully I managed to log in OK today so maybe it was just one of those gremlins that are sent to try us and drive us slowly round the bend!
As you suggested I have entered computercops.biz as a website which should be "allowed" under privacy settings in IE and hope that will sort out the gremlins once and for all. |

Basically, yes... allowing cookies in your privacy settings for CCSP should work.

Can Proxomitron be set to reject such images?

Yes of course... I think I used to employ such a setting.

My problem is different. Just last week I tried to change my password and was able to use my new one once. Then the next time I tried, I didn't work. However, I tried my old one, and I was able to log in. I seem to need to use both back and forth. If one doesn't work, I try the other one, and usually one of them works. Oh well, I just never know which one will work the next time. |

Hi Paul,
That is exactly where I changed it. I'll try again.
Thank you!

It needs to be 8 characters at least.
