hey,

I recently posted a poll in the firewall section about which Free firewall was the best. some how i left out ZoneAlarm in the poll options. so I went back to re-edit the post but after I did and i recieved the notice that my edit was successfull I still could not see the option when i went to view the modified post. also on the forum page it displays "0" views and "0" replies but i have had several views and replies inside the post.

whats wrong here. please help

thanks,

You could not see the edit option or the modification you made?

Sometimes when you make changes/edit a post, your browser will show you the old page from before the edit. Just Reload/Refresh the page to see the changes. Again, as to the zeroes, it's probably your browser showing old pages too.

Hope this helps and welcome to Computer Cops! Very Happy

all is okay now, I had tried the refresh earlier but that did not work. however I logged back on tonight and all is well, I was able to see the results from post edit. I guess my browser is slow not sure. thanks though for the input.

Is there a way to keep browser from showing the old pages? i tried the refresh but that did not work.

thanks,

If you hold down your Ctrl key when you refresh you will force your browser to load directly from the web rather than looking for a page on your computer first
